What is this database for?
To encourage the VCU community to engage in research, Auctus gathers fellowships, internships, conferences, symposiums and other opportunities into a searchable database.
How do I find my area of study?
These opportunities are categorized as Creative, Humanities, Social Sciences, STEM or All Disciplines, and can be filtered into these groups with the provided search tools.
Each category includes - but is not limited to - the following areas of study:
Creative: music, visual arts, performing arts, literary composition, creative writing and fine arts.
Humanities: history, linguistics, languages, literature, philosophy, ethics, logic, mass communications and religion.
Social Sciences: anthropology, archaeology, cultural and ethnic studies, economics, education, gender/sexuality, geography, political science, policy, business, psychology and sociology.
STEM: astronomy, earth sciences, chemistry, physics, computer sciences, technology, engineering, environmental sciences and health care.
All Disciplines: These opportunities are open to all of the disciplines listed above.
